Yes — a gorgeous blonde dating a Kennedy — but so different from Jackie O’s uptown world. And downtown chic was its own animal in the late 80s early 90s. Subtle and pretty ineffable.
In Florence each of the pharmacies have their own bespoke scents and White Musk happened to be one I stumbled across! I thought it was a classic ‘winter’ scent but actually worked well for summer being so clean and powdery ✨

There was no internet (the way it is now ofc), no Insta, no 24/7 fashion. So looks lasted! Anyhow, in terms of CBK, for those of us who were there, yes we admired her style. If you can find back issues of Allure magazine from that era, you’ll get the beauty vibe to go along with CBK.
CBK wore Bobbi Brown Lip Stain in Ruby. It was my favourite lipstick in the 90's too and my first Bobbi product. It was £12.50 and I'd buy it and the Cranberry shade on repeat. The current Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour in Ruby is a similar shade, but a very different texture.
